Introducing the Original Prusa MK4 3D printer & MK4S upgrade kit, a powerful machine capable of creating high-quality prints with intricate details. The Prusa MK4 prioritises safety and durability and is great for both manufacturing and home use.

This 3D printer from Prusa means that high-speed printing is made effortless, as Pressure Advance and Input Shaper technology is included in the firmware of the MK4. This is used to accurately predict the filament’s flow and prevent any resonance in prints. Print time is thereby decreased by up to 70% when compared with the MK3.

With a build volume of 250 x 210 x 220mm, the expansive build area of the Original Prusa MK4 allows you to print large-scale projects without having to worry about running out of space.

Designed to prevent inconvenience, the precision of the Loadcell sensor, for example, enables you to print a smooth first layer consistently and automatically, without needing any input from the user.

Giving you even more flexibility when it comes to choosing what to 3D print, the Prusa MK4 supports an extensive range of filaments (PLA, PETG, ASA, flexible filament, Polycarbonate and Polypropylene).

Simple to use, the Original Prusa MK4 3D printer features a 3.5” graphic 65k colour screen with a user-friendly interface that supports QR codes. For added convenience, the footer panel of the display can even be customised. The RGB status bar allows you to be more in control of your prints too. The self-developed multiplatform slicer, PrusaSlicer, streamlines the slicing process, enabling you to get printing faster.

What is Multi Material Upgrade?

It’s exactly what it sounds like - it’s an optional add-on that allows your single-extruder printer to print with up to 5 colors (materials) at the same time. The MMU3 contains five filament insertion points. Load up to five colors of your choice, slice the object in PrusaSlicer and start the print. The system automatically selects filament using the selector, loads it into the extruder and the printer starts printing. When it’s time to change the color or material, it also happens automatically.

Efficient multi-color printing

Every time you switch filaments, you need to purge the previous material from the nozzle to prevent cross-contamination. There are various ways to do it and the MMU3 uses an efficient “wipe tower” - it’s a compact, partially hollow block next to the printed object where the filament is purged and the pressure in the nozzle is stabilized. All filament goes into one location and you don’t need to worry about bits of plastic piling around your printer.

We’re offering multiple ways how to save filament and reduce plastic waste - PrusaSlicer gives you options for “wipe into infill” (the printed object’s infill is used as a wipe tower) or you can use “wipe into object” where another object is used as a wipe tower - it will be very colorful but if you, e.g., need a functional part or you will paint it later, it’s a great way to reduce plastic waste to a minimum.

The MK52 heatbed has embedded high Curie temperature magnets. These magnets are able to firmly hold removable spring steel sheets.

The Satin sheet further expands our line-up of print sheets. In terms of printing properties, the Satin sheet sits between the smooth and textured variants. Its powder-coated surface with lightly textured matte finish offers an optimal level of adhesion, especially when printing PLA and PETG materials. It is fully compatible with a wide range of common and less-common filaments, such as ABS, ASA, FlexFill 98A, Polycarbonate and more. A vast majority of materials can be printed without a separation layer (e.g. glue).

Polycarbonate - prints better on satin (compared to smooth and textured sheets) - when printing with PC often, glue stick layer is recommended to prevent possible damage to the sheet.

WARNING:

Never clean the Satin powder-coated spring steel sheet with acetone! Doing so will create microfractures in the texture, which will make the surface deteriorate over time.

Note: Consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, etc.) are not covered by warranty as the coatings are designed to diminish over time unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks or other cosmetic damage is also not covered by the warranty. Only defective sheets on arrival are covered by warranty.
