How to choose the right FDM/FFF printerPrint volumeWith standard 3D printers, you can make short sculptures with an average or small surface. Higher-end printers are recommended if you want to be able to 3D print taller objects. Obviously, a taller object takes more time to print. Do you plan to create only small or low objects? Heated bed When printing some types of filament it can happen that your print warps. This is because the material cools down too quickly. A heated bed, as the name implies, keeps the printer bed warm to ensure that this does not happen. A 3D printer without a heated bed provides good printing results with PLA and PETG filament. The addition of a heated bed to the printer also makes it possible to print without warping with materials such as ABS and HIPS. |
