Thermal paste improves the thermal transition from the warm to the cold part of the heatbreak. By using thermal paste, the risk of clogging (the softening of the filament in the heatbreak too early) is considerably reduced.

The composition of the paste is as follows: 50% silicone, 20% carbon, 30% metal oxide.
