A beast of a plate! The BigTreeTech Octopus V1.0 Pro is equipped with a powerful 32-bit ARM microprocessor that is supported by Klipper, ReprapFirmware and Marlin software. With 8 slots for control modules of stepper motors, not only multiple extruders, but also a bed plate, for example, can be leveled at three points.
In terms of expansion options, the Octopus V1.0 Pro offers a lot of space. You can install an automatic bed height sensor, LCD screens and WIFI. There are connections for 5 thermistors, 4 heating elements, a heated bed and 6 PWM fans.
The eight slots for stepper motor control are Pololu-compatible and can be set up for SPI and UART communication. You can choose per slot with a jumper whether you want to use the separate power supply for stepper drivers. This allows you to supply up to 60 Volts to the stepper motor control, although the module must of course be able to handle this. The TMC5160, for example, is a good option for this, as you can safely operate it on 48V for extra fast movements.
