LDO Motors BoxTurtle V1.0

The LDO BoxTurtle is the ideal solution for anyone looking for an AMS-like filament changing feature for their Klipper-based 3D printers. As an open-source automated system for easy filament changing, the BoxTurtle was specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with Klipper to provide a user experience as close to the AMS as possible - regardless of the printer model, with a special focus on VORON printers.

The LDO BoxTurtle (LBT) is based on the original design of the BoxTurtle, but offers numerous practical extensions:

• The sturdy frame made of high-quality anodised profiles guarantees a durable construction,
• Powerful LDO pancake motors ensure smooth and efficient movements,
• The included AFC-Lite board supports both CAN and USB connections, which allows flexible control,
• An Omron D2HW switch serves as a reliable filament sensor for precise detection,
• Pre-terminated cables are included to ensure easy installation,
• The Filametrix parts set and the Turtle Necker Buffer (TN) parts set are included and provide everything you need for optimized filament management,
• Fastening material for a safe and stable installation is also included,

With the LDO BoxTurtle you get a versatile and user-friendly solution for your Klipper setup – optimised for smooth filament guidance and the highest print quality.

The BoxTurtle is similar to the AMS system, but even simpler. The system changes the filament automatically and does not require any extra parts such as a selector or servos. Each compartment has its own motor that moves the filament independently and directly to the print head.

Note: The kit does NOT come with printed parts. These must be printed by you!
