This tool distribution board has the following properties:

4 JST-VH connectors for power supply for toolboards (5A fuses included).
2 RJ connectors for CAN bus to connect to the Duet 3 mainboard and expansion board.
4 2-pin jumpers to remove unused CAN connectors from the tool board.
CAN bus termination jumper if you do not use the CAN_OUT RJ11 port.

Description The Duet 3 Expansion Board 3HC V1.02a is an improved version of the 3HC V1.02. It is a fully featured expansion board for the Duet 3 motherboards. The board contains a powerful 32-bit Atmel ARM Cortex-M4F microcontroller with a speed of up to 120 MHz. The part is also equipped with 3x 5 A PWM outputs for extruders, 6 PWM outputs for fans, 6 I/O connectors with 3.3 V output signal level and 30V outputs. In addition, this board has improved input protection on Tacho/Io and inputs that measure temperature. Finally, the 3HC V1.02a has other MOSFETS, but these do not change the top performance of this expansion board.

Duet3D | Duet 3 Magnetic Encoder

Description The Duet3D Magnetic Encoder is compatible with the Duet 3 Expansion 1HCL. This allows you to accurately measure the position and rotation of the motor, because it uses a hall effect sensor. This detects the rotation of a magnet attached to the back of the motor. The encoder comes with a 150mm ribbon cable and nylon washers to properly mount it to the back of most NEMA 17 motors.

Please note: You will need replacement (longer) motor screws to attach the Duet 3 magnetic encoder to most NEMA 17 motors. These are not included because the length of the screws depends on the length of your engine.

14 bit on-axis magnetic rotation sensor
The sensor supports a maximum of 14500 RPM
Magnet of 4 mm thick with a diameter of 6 mm
SPI output so that the Duet 3 magnetic encoder can communicate with a Duet 3 Expansion 1HCL controller
3.3 V – compatible with the Duet 3 Expansion 1HCL controller (can be expanded to 5V for other devices)
Compatible with all NEMA17 motors. Motors with a free shaft that sits no more than 3.5mm below the rear of the motor should also be compatible. If the free shaft extends out the back, you will need a mounting system that holds the sensor approximately 1mm from the magnet on the shaft.
For use with a NEMA23 and other sizes: Use an adapter plate or mounting system.
